AN INSPIRING QUOTE FOR TODAY – E.E. CUMMINGS!

I receive inspiring quotes on email with the purpose of encouraging others as well – here is the description to go with today’s INSPIRING QUOTE!

In today’s ‘Inspiring Quote’ we look at a poet/writer from the early 1900’s – E. E. Cummings.

Born in Massachusetts in 1894, E.E. Cummings always knew that he wanted to be a poet.

While deployed in France shortly after World War I began, Cummings fell in love with Paris despite the circumstances for why he was there.

He expressed his feelings and preference for the company of French soldiers in his poetic letters, something which not only raised the suspicions with Americans, but also let to him being imprisoned for some believing he might be a spy.

Some if not most would be easily discouraged by the entirety of the experience, but Cummings used it to write his novel ‘The Enormous Room’ in 1922 while still living in the place he returned to after the war – Paris.

The brief glance into the poet’s life suggested that the quote we share today, was somewhat of a mantra for Cummings and his life.

When you feel discouraged, it can be comforting to remember that the easiest way is not always the right way and staying true to who you are will always pay off in the end.

May we all remember that when you speak or write – the sharing of one’s thoughts and mind could be literally considered the clothing and description of you as a person.

Until next time – Stay Inspired, Stay Positive, Stay Happy, and most of all Love Thyself!!
