I am always looking for INSPIRING QUOTES with the purpose of encouraging others as well to do so.

Today the INSPIRING QUOTE comes from George Harrison as he shares thoughts about finding ones direction in life.

“If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there. (George Harrison)”

Coming from within the lyrics of a song George Harrison wrote – “Any Road” – Harrison began writing the song in 1988 where it eventually became his last single while also being the opening track of his final studio album, ‘Brainwashed’, which was released after Harrison’s death in 2003.

While the lyrics of the song have many times been mistaken and misattributed to Lewis Carroll’s book ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’, it is not.

Know as the ‘quiet Beatle’, Harrisons interest in Indian culture and Hinduism influenced his career as a musician and songwriter going back to the mid-1960’s and remaining an influence up until his death.

With the lyrics of ‘Any Road’, Harrison offered us reassurance that we eventually end up where we were meant to be, even if we are not always sure of our direction during our walk and/or travels of life.

How many times in life have you found yourself having moments of reflection on where you have already been while wondering at length where the road ahead may lead you and will you have any choice in the direction it may take.

Indeed, it can be a moment of ‘whoa’ when you find yourself thinking that no matter what I do or choose, my path may end up where I am supposed to be anyway.

If you aren’t sure, you have ever had a moment of reflection on the travels in life you are on, then maybe you need to take a few moments next time you are in meditations or prayers and ask yourself and your Great Spirits, the question or thoughts shared by George Harrison.
